Jumpcloud Connector

JumpCloud is a comprehensive cloud-based directory platform that provides secure authentication, device management, and user provisioning services. This connector facilitates integration with JumpCloud’s Directory Insights API, which retrieves and monitors event logs in real time

Prerequisites

  • JumpCloud Account: Ensure you have administrative access to your organization’s JumpCloud account.
  • API Key: An API key is required to authenticate API requests.
  • Service Name: Identify the specific JumpCloud service from which you wish to collect logs.

How to Generate an API Key

  1. Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal: Access your admin account at JumpCloud Admin Portal.
  2. Navigate to API Key Management : Click on your account initials in the top-right corner and select ‘My API Key’.
  3. Generate the API Key: Click ‘Generate API Key’ to create a new key. Copy and store it securely, as it will not be displayed again.

Configuration Steps


The following configurations are required to forward Jumpcloud logs to DNIF:

API Key:Enter the API key generated from your JumpCloud account.
ServiceSelect the specific JumpCloud service to monitor, or choose ‘all’ to collect logs from all services.


After entering the required details:

  • Click Save to store the configuration.
  • Click Test Connection to verify connectivity. A ‘Connection successful’ message will confirm the proper setup.

By completing these steps, the connector will begin fetching logs from the specified JumpCloud service, enabling real-time monitoring and integration with your systems.
